Spenta Kandawalla
Spenta Kandawalla is the senior program manager for Youth In Focus’ Health Justice Initiative (HJI). Spenta's current work with the HJI focuses on LGBTQ youth of color and young queer white allies. Spenta supports youth in talking about what's going on in their communities, investigating relevant issues, and fighting for justice. She also works with adults and organizations on how to meaningfully support and institutionalize youth voice and experiences within their organizations. Spenta has extensive experience in the area of youth development, curriculum development and organizational coaching. Spenta holds a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Miami University.
