Dwayne Proctor, Ph.D., M.A., B.A
Dwayne Proctor, Senior Program Officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, directs the programming efforts of some 150 grants towards the Foundation?s highest health priority?preventing childhood obesity. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2002, Proctor was an assistant professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. His contributions to research articles published in Addictions, Journal of Health Communications and Journal of Studies on Alcohol reflect his broad interests in preventing public health risks. During the late 1980s he was road and stage manager for Ray Charles and his orchestra on two U.S. and world tours. Proctor received his graduate and undergraduate degrees at the University of Connecticut and was a Fulbright Fellow in Senegal, West Africa.
