Valerie Brown
Valerie Brown has a 20 year career with the Department of Food and Agriculture, and with the Secretary of Agriculture, has a primary focus on the relationship of agriculture and nutrition. She oversees the management of over 100 specialty crop grants that invest in scientific, trade and community projects important to agriculture and nutrition… Valerie directs the Division of Inspection Services and of Weight and Measures. With a background in entomology, she played a key role in the state’s Medfly and other exotic pest eradication campaigns.
