Jean Nuddleman, MPH

As Director of Northern California Community Benefit Programs in Kaiser Permanente Northern California Region, Jean Nudelman is responsible for leading the organization's efforts to enhance the health of the communities it serves.  Among the highlights of Jean's current role is the development and implementation of strategic grant initiatives on Safety Net
Partnerships and Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL).  HEAL's Community Health Initiative (HEAL-CHI) is awarding grants of $4.5 million, over five years in three Northern California communities to reduce health disparities and curb the growing trend in obesity.  HEAL-CHI aims to transform communities through behavioral, policy, and environmental change so that healthy food is convenient and affordable, and engaging in physical activity is part of one's daily life.

Jean has nearly 20 years experience in public policy development and analysis, community health programming, outreach and education, advocacy, and the design and implementation of programs focusing on underserved populations.  She has a BA in Classical Archeology from Oberlin College and Master's in Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley.
